Conflict in the Workplace is Inevitable
Most team members are conscientious employees. They want to do a good job and they try to get along with their coworkers as best as possible. However, there are always the very few challenging team members who create conflict situations. They are difficult to get along with and at times, create stress in the workplace.
The workplace is an environment of forced relationships. Most people did not choose their area of work or who they will be working with. People are brought together from different cultural backgrounds, values, beliefs and psychological and emotional needs are expected to work together for eight or more hours a day, year after year, for a common goal.
It is impossible to assume that everybody is going to get along and everything will always flow smoothly. When there are two or more people occupying the same living space and given enough time, there will almost certainly be some form of conflict.
