Managing Stress in the Workplace

How do we typically respond to stress? The responses are as varied as the individuals.  When a person does not recognize stress, he/she can become

frustrated which may lead to anger and aggressive behavior.

Some people respond to stress by:

  • Keeping it bottled up

  • Responding with sarcasm

  • Responding with threats

  • Backing away and appeasing the other person

  • Feeling threatened
